Frequently asked questions.
How do I buy?
Choose a piece, choose what it goes on, and tap Add to cart. On a phone, the bar at the bottom of a piece's page adds it in one tap. In the cart you enter your address, and you pay on Stripe's payment page, which says UmmahArt. No account is needed; you can also sign in with UmmahPass.
Who makes the art?
Three kinds of work hang here. Geometric designs drawn by UmmahArt. Museum pieces: public-domain works from The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Rijksmuseum, and each piece's page names its museum and the museum's own catalogue number, so you can check it. And work from artists' own studios on UmmahArt, with the artist's name on it.
What exactly will I receive?
Every piece is printed for you when you order. Posters: matte paper, 180 g/m². Framed prints: matte paper in a black solid-wood frame made in Italy, with a plexiglass front. It arrives assembled and ready to hang. About ¼ inch of the art on each side sits under the frame. White ceramic mug, 11 oz. Printed on the Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex tee, in white. Printed on the Gildan 18500 unisex hooded sweatshirt, in white. Printed on the Gildan 18000 unisex crewneck, 50/50 cotton and polyester, in white. Sherpa fleece blanket, printed on one side, 30 × 40 inches. Spun polyester pillowcase, 20 × 30 inches, with a hemmed cuff. 2-inch square porcelain magnet with a glossy finish. 4.25 × 5.5 inch cards with a matte finish, each with a white envelope. These details come from our print partner. The product page shows a preview of how each item looks.
How much is shipping?
It depends on the product AND the country, shown exactly on every product page and again at checkout, before you pay, for whichever country you pick. Within the US it runs from $4.49 (shirts) to $20.99 (18×24 framed prints). Blankets, Greeting cards, Hoodies, Magnets, Mugs, Pillowcases, Sweatshirts and T-shirts ship to most countries. Framed prints and Posters currently ship within the United States only. Your product page shows exactly where an item can go, and what it costs, before you pay. Shipping cost varies a lot by destination, and buying more than one of the same format in one order usually lowers the per-item shipping cost. We never fold it silently into "free shipping", the real number is the real number.
How long until my order ships, and when will it arrive?
Printed for you when you order. Production takes 2–8 business days per our print partner's current status, then your order ships with tracking. We email you the moment it's on its way. We publish the production window from our print partner's own current status page (a named, dated source), not a marketing guess. Production happens at US facilities regardless of destination. We don't promise a total door-to-door date. Carrier transit time varies, more so internationally. We'd rather tell you the real production window than invent a delivery date. For international orders, import taxes or duties, if any, are collected by the carrier and are the buyer's responsibility.
How do I track my order?
Open your order page. The link is in your confirmation email, under "View your order". We send the link again when your order ships. No login is needed, anyone with the link can see the order, so keep it to yourself. The page shows every step with the date it happened: placed, payment received, in production, shipped, delivered. Once your order reaches our print partner, the page also shows their estimated ship and arrival dates. That is usually within a day of ordering, and those dates can change. When your order ships, the page shows the carrier and the tracking number, with a link to the carrier where they give us one. If a step looks stuck, or you have lost your link, email salaam@ummahart.com with your order reference.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Some items do. Our framing partner has no international shipping of its own, which is their limit rather than a choice of ours. Blankets, Greeting cards, Hoodies, Magnets, Mugs, Pillowcases, Sweatshirts and T-shirts ship to most countries. Framed prints and Posters currently ship within the United States only. Your product page shows exactly where an item can go, and what it costs, before you pay. Delivery is charged separately from the price of the piece, and you see the exact amount before you pay.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes, for many items. To Canada we ship T-shirts (shipping from $9.69), magnets (shipping from $9.89), greeting cards (shipping from $10.59), pillowcases (shipping from $11.19), sweatshirts (shipping from $13.19), hoodies (shipping from $13.19), mugs (shipping from $15.49) and blankets (shipping from $29.19). Framed prints and posters do not ship to Canada yet. Pick Canada on any product page to see exactly what can come to you and the shipping cost, before you pay. Prices are in US dollars. Import taxes or duties, if any, are collected by the carrier.
Can I send a piece as a gift?
Yes, and the person you send it to picks the artwork themselves. People send them for Eid, for Ramadan, for a nikkah, for a new baby, for a new home, or for finishing the Qur'an. Go to Send a gift, choose a print or a framed print, and pay for it. They get one email with a link, choose any piece in that format, and give us their address. They pay nothing, they do not need an account, and printing and delivery are included. The gift never expires. We use their email address once, for that message, and we do not add them to any list. If they never choose, email salaam@ummahart.com and we will refund you or send it to someone else. Gift prints and framed prints are delivered within the United States only, for now.
Can I cancel or change my order after I place it?
Yes, within 1 hour of ordering, full refund, automatically, no need to explain why. Use the Cancel button on your order page, or email salaam@ummahart.com. That window is also your chance to fix a typo'd address. After 1 hour your piece goes to print and the order is final-sale, except for damaged, defective or wrong items and parcels lost in transit, which we reprint or refund. Spotted a problem later? Email us right away: if your piece has not gone to print yet, we will try to stop it, but we cannot promise to.
What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong?
Email salaam@ummahart.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of what you received. We send a free reprint or a full refund, your choice. Full detail on our shipping & returns policy.
What if my package is lost in transit?
Tell us. If tracking shows it lost, we reprint or refund it in full.
What size should I order for a shirt?
Shirts are printed on the Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex tee, S–XL. Every shirt's product page has a real size chart (body width and length in inches), open "Size chart" under the T-shirt options on any piece.
Does framing crop any of the image?
Yes, honestly: our framed-print line hides about 1/4 inch of the image on each side under the frame's rebate, that's standard for framed prints generally, not something unique to us, but we'd rather say it plainly than let you find out after it arrives. If you want to see the full, uncropped image edge-to-edge, choose an unframed poster instead.
How is my payment handled?
Checkout is by Stripe. Its payment page says UmmahArt. Your card statement may show MUSLIMADNE* UMMAHART. That is us: Ummah Media Group LLC runs UmmahArt. We don't store your card details on our servers.
What is a studio?
A studio is an artist's own space on UmmahArt. It is where an artist uploads their art, sets their prices, and sees what they have earned. When a piece is approved, it hangs in the shop with the artist's name on it, we print and ship every order, so artists never handle inventory. Any Muslim artist can open one today: sign in with UmmahPass and choose a studio name. No application, no fee.
What if a piece of art infringes someone's copyright?
Report it. Every artwork page has a "Report this artwork" link, or email salaam@ummahart.com with the piece's link and a link to the original. A person reviews every report, infringing work comes down, and an artist who uploads stolen work loses their studio. Formal DMCA notices work too, the full process is on our Copyright & content reports page (linked in the footer).
